The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) is proposing to construct the Malalane Ring Road of approximately 6km in length, within the Mpumalanga Province. The N4 highway is the main route between Maputo in Mozambique and Gauteng and at present, the only town which is still affected by the N4-highway, is Malalane. The proposed Malalane Ring Road aims to bypass Malalane Town by means of constructing a new highway to the south of the town. The proposed project also entails the provision of access roads to Malalane for all farms located to the south of Malalane.
A construction camp will be erected on site for the duration of the construction. Designated areas will be established during the construction phase for construction equipment, vehicles and stockpiling. This area will be outside all sensitive areas. As far as possible these will be located within already disturbed areas or areas that will be directly impacted by the road construction footprint. Existing roads will be used as far as possible for access during construction, however where necessary haul roads will temporarily be put into place. For more detail open the following link:
